1. How different do you think your life would be if you weren’t a Christ-follower?

2. Which of the following “I Am” statements by Jesus do you like the most? Explain your answer. 

   • John 6:35 – I am the Bread of Life

   • John 8:12 – I am the Light of the World

   • John 10:11 – I am the Good Shepherd

   • John 11:25 – I am the Resurrection and the Life

   • John 14:6 – I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life

   • Psalm 22:6 – I am a Worm

3. Psalm 22 provides us with astonishing insights into the heart and mind of Jesus as He was dying on the cross. Charles Spurgeon said Psalm 22 is a photograph of Jesus’ saddest hour. Glance through vs. 1-21 and highlight at least one thing He said that you found to be profoundly gut-wrenching.

Tuesday: "Reflections of a Nightmare"

1. 1. Have you ever experienced a nightmare scenario, whether it was a personal or family crisis, or even a man-made or natural disaster? If so, what happened and how did you get through it?

   2. In the midst of unfathomable destruction and death, Jeremiah declared that he had hope because God’s love never ceases, His mercies never come to an end, and because His faithfulness is great.
      How have you seen God’s love, mercy, and faithfulness in your own life?

   3. What do the following verses say about the depth of God’s love, mercy, and faithfulness toward us?

Wednesday - "God is in the House!"
Discussion Questions 

1. Paul said in I Corinthians 6:19 that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, and the Greek word for temple means sacred abode. What are your thoughts about being the sacred abode of God and Him dwelling inside of you?

2. In addition to the Holy Spirit making you spiritually alive, what are some other benefits of Him dwelling in you according to the following verses?

   • Acts 1:8

   • Romans 8:14

   • Acts 13:2

   • Acts 9:31

   • Romans 8:26-28

3.  Challenge Question: God withdrew His presence from the tabernacle when it was in Shiloh because of the wickedness of the people and from the second temple because of the sinful priesthood. Will the Holy Spirit ever leave us because of our sin? Support your argument with Scripture. 

Thursday: "Life in the Last Days"

Discussion Questions

1. What was your reaction when you heard the Doomsday Clock was set to 89 seconds to midnight? Do you believe we’re living in the last days?

2.  What are some examples of spiritual deception that are deeply troubling to you?  

3.  In addition to what you learned in today’s message, what do the following verses say about how we ought to live in the last days?

   • Matthew 24:42-44

   • I Peter 4:7

   • II Peter 3:11-12

4.  At the end of Paul’s passage on the rapture, he said in I Thessalonians 4:18 that we should “encourage one another with these words.” What are some practical ways you can encourage someone this week while you’re here at Mt. Hermon?

Friday - "Heaven on Earth"

Discussion Questions 

1.  What is something new you learned today about heaven?

2.  After Jesus was raised from the dead, He appeared to His disciples in His glorified body. Carefully read Luke 24:36-43 and look for clues on what life will be like for us in heaven in our glorified bodies.

3.  According to Isaiah 11:6-8, there will be a variety of animals present in the millennial kingdom, including millions and perhaps billions of white horses according to Revelation 21:14. However, there is no mention in the Bible of cats and dogs in heaven. What do you think? Will our furry friends join us in heaven?

4.  The only thing that matters in life is that our family and friends will be with us in heaven. Close in prayer for  someone you know who isn’t a Christ-follower. Ask the Holy Spirit to convict them of sin and draw them to Himself.
