A week-long conference at a location of this size can be a bit intimidating at first, but trust us you'll soon find your way around with ease, and if there's ever a question, just ask the Planning Staff or one of your fellow conferees....good chance we'll know how to point you in the right direction.
Here's some helpful tips that we're found are helpful for 1st time attendees:
Reference the JEMS Pocket Guide included in your packet (and available digitally on the mobile site) to get the Schedule, the map of the Conference Center, and the answer to most of your general questions.
To contact the Front Desk for all Guest Services concierge questions and/or housing issues there's no need to call. Just text 831-335-4466 and the Mount Hermon staff will respond directly to you.
Don't feel like you have to do everything in the Pocket Guide! A gentle reminder to pace yourselves (and your children) so that you can make it to the end of the week! Naps are great and necessary ( in my humble opinion!)
We have a special First timers reception on Monday night at 9pm in the Multipurpose room. Come and join us to have some fun, food, fellowship and to make some new friends!
On Wednesday we take a break and have a much lighter schedule so that everyone gets a chance to catch up on some rest. Our first official meal that day is brunch at 10am.
Seminars are offered each weekday except Wednesday with no sign ups required
On Friday night, we do an all-camp celebration (party) after the evening session the we call "Friday Night Delight". It'll be a fun way to end the week together with food and fellowship so be sure to stick around for that.
